Our fundraising options revolve around our program in an effort to bring the Medaka community together. For example, a chance to get together with family and friends at a local Japanese eatery for the restaurant fundraiser, and an offering of a rich selection of Japanese/Asian themed books for you to purchase for your family or gift giving at our final Open House event.

In addition, our Direct Appeal program has brought an extraordinary wealth to our program by enabling us to fund visits by professional sumo wrestlers during our sports themed year, and to invite Sunny Seki, renowned author/illustrator of children’s bilingual picture books as past of our folktales year. The children love to learn  through these firsthand experiences, and  we are able to enrich their learning experiences through the contributions we receive from Direct Appeal.  This is our largest source of fundraising income, and it is our hope that we have 100% participation from our community.

While we try to offer a variety of fundraising activities for you to choose from, please be reminded that participation is optional, but is greatly appreciated and no donation is too small.
