Medaka no Gakko is a parent cooperative summer program.  Parent support is the cornerstone of Medaka.  Parents serve as classroom aides by setting up materials and providing individual attention to children as needed.  Parents also assist with school maintenance, fundraising activities and special events, such as a luncheon for the Palo Alto Buddhist Temple seniors, Tomonikai, and at the Palo Alto Buddhist Temple Obon Festival.

Faculty are paid positions to provide the best teaching and experience to the children.  Our faculty consits of:
     - Curriculum Director
     - Language & Music
     - Teachers for each grade (6)
Faculty are typically credentialed teachers with experiencing working with children between 1-6 grades.

The volunteer Executive Board, which administers the school, offers parents an unique opportunity to apply their talents in the overall operation of the program.  Board positions include:
     - Chair
     - Registrar
     - Secretary
     - Treasurer
     - Parent Participation
     - Fundraising
     - Temple Liaison

Parents and children find friendship and support from an extended network of Medaka no Gakko families.
