Kaeru Program

Program Description

Kaeru is a mixed-age extended care program for Medaka no Gakko. Children engage in a variety of activities ranging from origami and crafts to active outdoor activities and games. The goal of this program is to create a safe, active and healthy environment where children explore their own interests in Japanese culture.

Program Hours:

12:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Program Schedule:

12:30 – 12:45 Transition from classroom to lunch. Senpai aides will help children during this transition and attendance will be taken.

12:45 – 1:30 Lunch Time. Children will eat lunch outside on the bleachers. After eating, children will be able to play outside.

1:30 – 1:45 Group Time. Kaeru children will meet to discuss the activity choices of the day and have group activity time.

1:45 – 3:00 Activity Time. Children will participate in their chosen activity. Activities change daily daily, such as cooking, crafts, cooperative games, stories, or free time.

3:00 Pick up.


• Please bring a lunch for your child every day.
• Pick up is at 3:00pm. Please be prompt. The penalty for late pick up is $5 for each minute late if you do not pick your child up on time.
